5 Deg C in my garden this morning, but another frost around the village. It went down to 4.9 deg C under fleece in my polytunnels. It's now forecast to start warming up so I might be able to start planting some stuff outside by Sunday.

Gosh @Scrungee I am surprised that you are still having frosts where you are. We have had the most fabulous spell of weather over the last 2 to 3 weeks . No rain at all and really warm. It has been down to about 5 o C at night but no frost. I have had to plant out my Dahlias and tender Geraniums so god help me if I have been premature AND all my Potatoes are well up Note to self to organise time to be away better in the future! Husband is going to be IC and he doesn't know the difference between a Daffodil and a Dandelion:):rolleyespink: and cares less.

I checked on windy.com shortly before the earlier frost on Friday morning and we had the same low temps forecast as The Pennines and Kingussie in Scotland. If I'd planted tomatoes out in open ground and fleeced them I would have probably lost the lot on Friday morning. Still remember the - 3 deg C in early June that even killed tomatoes in coldframes with 1/2" thick timber boarded sides and twin wall polycarbonate tops.

P.S. At least the cold didn't get my apple blossom because I haven't got any this year.

What a difference a few miles make. Because it was so cold until May everything is late but then good weather with no frosts. Our apple trees are groaning with blossom which in some years can be frosted if March/April are good.

More high hazy cloud and a temp of 19C with hardly a breeze.

Not been below 7C here at night but although it was warm in the sun today it felt pretty nippy in the shade.
Got up to 21C, but felt a lot cooler.

I've had similar weather to Silu for weeks now. :)

A day of sunshine again with a warm breeze blowing, 21C/70F. I've checked the temperature just before midnight and it's 14C/57F.

                          A trip to Ullapool today.
