After a few days of gloom the sun is back with some big white fluffy clouds tagging along, 17C/63F.

Today is supposedly the summer solstice which also means the longest daylight hours. Having checked my local weather sites the following times will last here for more than a week before dropping back in the other direction.

    Sunrise: 4.18am
    Sunset: 10.20pm

Clear skies, at the moment, a temperature of 53f and a record high this year of 1011.2 hpa. The Jet Stream is continuing to move North towards Iceland which means even more sunshine and higher temperatures for a good while.:yahoo::hapydancsmil::hapfeet::snorky:

It dropped to 42F in the night but the sun is bringing the temperature back up fairly quickly.

Yes got to keep up with the watering, especially my blueberries and the polyanthus around the path, it gets really dry there.

Yes newly planted plants need it most. Although I planted a veronica last year and i thought that it will be alright, but no.

Yes you take care with the humidity.:)

Strong wind here, +17 C, raining at the last night. More raining later. Such a normal summer weather in here. Not bad.

Just got back home from a 4.5 mile walk across the fields to the next village as we decided it was far too hot to do the allotment his morning, although it started off breezy on the walk it soon got hot and the footpaths between the crops have got cracks in them so have to try and tread on the outside of the path with the crack in the middle and those cracks are getting wider by the day due to lack of rain:sad:

The temperature here now at 10.05am is reading 64f and the sun is burning my legs through the open lounge window as I type this:biggrin:

After a little break I shall go and try and get some gardening done out in the back garden but there is a chill wind blowing out there in the shade and it almost feels like winter so might stick to the warmth of the front garden instead:snorky:

I’m also saving all my washing up water to chuck on the garden plants to help them although having to use the hosepipe of an evening to water the back garden and while out asking we noticed even the nettles in the hedgerows are beginning to whilt due to the heat:yikes:
