Still a fair amount of cloud in the skies today but in the late afternoon the skies cleared and there's not a cloud to be seen. The temperature rose to 79f and it was fairly humid even though there was a good breeze for most of the day. Right now the skies are still clear, the breeze has dropped, the temperature is 63f and the pressure reading is 1005hpa.:coffee::snorky:

Bloody hot. We've had no significant rain in the valleys for over 2 months!

I caused a bit of a panic recently with my pic of Nant Hir reservoir

(side of a465 between Merthyr and Hirwaun).. thinking it was due to no rainfall but apparently it's being drained by Welshwater/Dwr Cymru :noidea: oops! :heehee:

It's too darned hot. Strange but I have worked all my life in the open. Since my brush with cancer 2014 and more so the past two years. I have come to prefer, adding another garment etc to stay warm. I live upstairs, one floor up of two. The council fairly recently insulated the flat, loft insulation and walls plus double glazing and gas central heating. Not happy wit all features but, it cost me nowt. Now the rise in temperatures. I can't get rid of the heat in the flat. I open the front windows and become deafened by traffic sounds, plus hot air blowing in. I open the back windows, mainly the kitchen. Soon the room is filled with flies and a hottible stink from downstairs. The neighbour is a single mum, obviously not all there, her garden back and front resemble a tip. No Sorry. For me one plus one equals five. My kitchen temp this evening about 15 mins ago was 92F. OK. O have prebooked my funeral/cremation. Nobody said I had to have a pre-run of the hot box. C'mon turn me over, I'm done on that side. LOL/Wink

Just a suggestion..or two. I have a horse field behind so get a lot of flies and can't open windows too much..

Soak a towel in cold water, wring and hang over a clothes rail, put a fan behind it and you'll have cool air blowing through (or no fan, if your worried. It'll still cool the air).
For the flies, red top fly traps/buzz flycatcher (amazon) or maybe hang voiles up on a few nails and string in front of the windows.

The single mum probably needs a hand if she's not all there..

Edit. Use fly traps outside, they stink
