      Heating was most definitely on this morning. It clicked on at 13 degrees :yikes: The rest of the day has been changeable, mainly grey and overcast but we had the odd downpour too.


      Ps ( I feel like I need to whisper....shhhh... where is everyone?) is everyone having a early night? Or are they all partying for the bank holiday weekend?:dunno:

            I had an early night Saturday, didn't feel too well. Woken up just after 03.00 by the neighbour's dog barking.

              Our heating came on yesterday as well. We never turn it off and let the thermostat do all the work. :blue thumb: It comes on when the temperature in the hall drops to around 72F (it's not a digital thermostat so the figures are approximate :)). It was a lot colder outside (46F) when it came on.

              It rained from lunchtime onwards and the garden is very happy about it. This morning it's a lot milder with the outside temperature at 55.4F/13C at 5 a.m.. It's now dry outside (at least, the patio is) and the sun is coming up. It felt milder than that when I wandered outside at 5.30 but there was not even a breeze and that helped a lot.

              @Loki we had friends round until 1 a.m. - but no partying :heehee:
              Similar on Friday and Saturday and more coming today. I'm hoping that it will be sunny and warm enough to have tea (scones and cake) in the garden but dinner tonight will be indoors.

                It's interesting to see what numbers can do and why statistics don't always show the real picture.

                In Centigrade it was 6C yesterday at 5 a.m. and 13C at the same time today. So this morning is twice as warm as yesterday :th scifD36: but only 7C warmer.

                Unless you work in Fahrenheit when at the same times it was 43F and 55F which is only 25% warmer but a difference of 12F. :scratch:

                Aren't figures wonderful? :whistle:
