The temperature managed to creep to 38f for a very short while during the day where we had low mid grey cloud trundling in from the West. There's been an absence of breeze so making it feel more comfortable and it's stayed dry all day. The temperature now is 33f and the pressure reading is 1006hpa.

Snow showers overnight, so a slight covering early on.
Brightened up around midday, max 4C.

There was a sprinkling of snow around 8.00 a.m. this morning, but it wasn't enough to put me off going to golf, although only six of us turned up, when in better weather, there would have been several more. But it stayed dry and wasn't too cold. My flask of hot Bovril with a dash of chilli, warmed my team up half way round.

A dull and frosty start but the sun arrived early afternoon to take a little of the chill off a breezy day, 4C/39F.

Although it was cold and frosty yesterday I went out for a walk in the sunshine. There appeared to be no wind so I thought that wrapping up warm would be OK. :blue thumb: That worked well until I came to where there is open fields both sides of the road. Then I could tell there was a wind blowing across the fields :rolleyespink:. I turned around quickly as I hadn't bothered to put my thermal long Johns on  Brass Monkeys!!!! :hate-shocked:

Woke up to about 3 inches of snow. No wonder us Brits talk about the weather A LOT. 3 days ago it was gorgeous here, wall to wall sunshine and quite warm, today freezing. There are a few "mistakes" (early lambs as farmer thought an old tup was passed it and wasn't:rolleyespink::)) in the field opposite. For where I live it is no way ideal for wee lambs to be born atm as there is no new grass for the ewes to produce good milk from. They are getting hay but there won't be much goodness in that. I am hoping the farmer will take the ewes with lambs back down to a big shed he has and keep them there with some shelter until things warm up again.

No not like that. That was ten years ago, we've not really had much snow since.

Today, it isn't settling, which is good news as I'm playing in a golf competition tomorrow.

Snowed for a good few hours, not much upto a couple of inch of wet snow. Been out with the brush and knocked it off a few evergreen shrubs. Its getting mighty cold now :hate-shocked: hard frost forecast tonight so no gardening tomorrow and possibly the rest of the week :noidea:. I got some petunia seeds to sow so may get round to that.
