WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE 2018

Worst of the storm over but swapped wind for lots of rain.The wind direction was quite unusual for us being almost directly from the south. As a result things which don't normally get blown about, have. Touch and go with 1 of my Liquidambar which is still in full leaf and looking amazing with brilliant autumn colours. Daughter and I spent a good hour wrestling with it and getting 3 extra metal stakes into the ground to support the tree with thick ropes. I think we have saved it but was decidedly touch and go. Now completely cream crackered, trying to stop a tree of about 20 ft from coming down in a howling gale is HARD WORK

 

No rain since early morning but we still have the gale force winds but a warm wind!

Very windy! A tile came off the roof earlier ( luckily it just hit the path)
It's now windy and raining. Very mild though.
Hubby is trekking to Keswick to pick the eldest up to say I'm concerned is understating to the extreme! Number 3 son is with him but I can't contact them, no reception Oh boy
I'll just hang tight, , pray, hopefully they will be back by 2:30

 

Quite blustery here in Eltham SE London, but warm I believe the temperature was 22c. Warm enough for me.

 

Nice to hear from you mike. You stay safe, 22 is tropical . The wind is supposed to lessen, I hope so. I've got a big hole in my roof! And rain is forecast! If I'm missing, I'm mopping

Currently 20c going to 25c, calm and sunny. We are now under a threat for 'Zombie' Tropical Storm Leslie to hit tonight with wind and rain.

Our long term friends (of 55 years) were evacuated from Florida, St George's Island, down from Panama City, safely back to Tennessee before Michael hit it.

 

Just touch 23.7C, think thats about it for today.
Nice to se the last bits of summer, but to me its not unusual, often get the odd day like this in October.
