Had so much rain that without wellies lots of the local footpaths are impassible. My plot's flooded, the only places usable for some time will be raised beds and poly tunnel borders (and that's only because the borders are raised above the central paths which are ponding). I can't see it being suitable to plant anything in open ground for another month or so, sowing even longer.

                      In the shallows:

                      flood.jpg

And we just had a torrential hailstorm white out that left about half an inch of ice on everything.

And it's going below freezing tonight.

                      That's why I'm sowing/planting everything in modules/pots/etc.

A day of mixed weather, showers, sunshine, showers again. The skies were reasonably cloudy during the morning and the afternoon but have now cleared giving me the rare sight of clear skies. The top temperature was 48f, but now it's dropped to 39f with a pressure reading of 995hpa. It's going to a late night/early morning in the Observatory at Jupiter doesn't appear on the South Horizon until around 2am:hate-shocked: :dunno::coffee:and I want to take some images if I can.

It's been sunny all day here with a slight breeze, 9C/48F. The forecasters have messed up again, typical! So far, according to them, it should have rained for the last three days - wrong!

.....And I've probably tempted fate!

A bit of everything today. Wet morning, brighter afternoon but some mega hail showers. At one point they where the size of marbles :rolleyespink: Highs of 10 today but -3 predicted overnight.
