I don't want to start a North South divide...but I've got to say our weather up here in East Yorkshire has been flipping marvelous thus far..yes we've had the wind and rain and I've had a good moan but considering it's supposed to be 'grim up North' we aint doing so bad.Today is again glorious but that is my 'Glorious' ..anything above 19 degrees is a heat wave in these parts which suits me to a tee .

        Hi,

Thanks pete; yes we've considered moving many times and still talk about it; our best neighbours moved a year ago to Nottingham; whilst buying woodturning blanks at Turners retreat in Haworth Bron and I asked what were the best neighbourhoods in Nottingham; the kind lady assistant took us outside and pointed us towards Ranskill so we had a trip over to have a look; we were very impressed by the posh detached bungalows we passed and that we would be able to stand upright without needing one leg longer than the other leg but when it comes down to it; what would I then have to moan about after all home is home.

I've never been to Devon or Cornwall having seen the narrow roads on the TV shows like Doc Martin; we have a Skoda Yeti not a pedal cycle.

I'm a dinosaur having never ventured too far from home although I've been abroad twice in my lifetime; once to Scotland and it absolutely poured with non stop rain for three days so we returned back home then the sun came out; this in July and I've never been back since; once to Wales where I collected a lathe I was buying; if I want to go abroad now I just drive over to Dewsbury or Batley where natives are rare.

I've been idle today waiting for the weather to improve then I can spray the mower grass box but I'm dreaming.

Thanks lolimac; I'll not move to Kent but is it OK to send Blackie and Gale to live there permanently? Bron and I visited Kent over 40 years ago in our Reliant Robin.

I joined a MIG welding forum yesterday to ask for advice because I'm interested in buying a TIG AC/DC welder; oh dear how did it drift onto how I installed 3 phase into my workshop; I'm encourageable. :awesome:

        Kind regards, Colin.

Well, coastal regions will always come out on top regarding sunshine hours.
They dont, in general get the convected cloud that inland areas get, but often they get sea breezes in afternoons that tend to know back the temperatures, which in turn is why they dont get the cloud.
On occasions though, sea fog can roll in land, in coastal areas, so windward coasts can be cool when its pretty hot further inland.

We get plagued by Easterlies over here, so I'm glad our prevailing winds in the UK are Westerlies:smile:

Well, compared to @Sheal you're probably down Souf, so its all relative.
But I can deal with it.

                    Hi,

                    Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep.

We're definitely middle of the road living here. :heehee:

I wish I hadn't added the video; I'll not get the tune out of my head for days.

It's better just now than its been all day and Gale must be running out of puff at last. Blackie must be suffering a water shortage too because its not rained for a couple of days.

                    Kind regards, Colin.

@lolimac you're roughly 400 miles from me and 240 miles from @pete so I guess you could say your in the Midlands - well between us you are.

A sunny, windy start to the day. Cloud moved in early afternoon. 17C/63F perfect digging weather. :)
