Milky low cloud but the SW breeze will burn it off soon. Getting to 22c later,

                  Hi,

A bit of sunshine for a change and 20C at the moment but although Blackie isn't here he's left his sister Gale on duty. I'm still dreaming of spraying the mower grass box but I might end up throwing the paint in the air to let Gale paint the grass box for me; this worked when I tossed my wildflower seeds into the air and now we've got a wonderful small meadow.

I've already fed and watered the neighbours cats then visited three supermarkets; I was home by 8:30 and am just having a mug of tea before going out again this time over to The Range in Barnsley; calling at the post office and fuelling the car; is this really retirement; I'm struggling to get workshop time.

                  Kind regards, Colin.

                              Hi,

If you lived here in West Yorkshire wiseowl you could leave your jumper on.

When I fueled the car this morning I could have benefitted from a length of rope to hold my cap on; between our bungalows it was like a wind tunnel and Gale still won't let up. :wallbanging:

                              Kind regards, Colin.

Well, we had been looking forward to some rain on Saturday. They said about 4 hours’ worth... but it was in the form of thunderstorms, so we missed out, as we often do.

Very little rain here for months, so another two apple trees are giving up the ghost. We won’t replace them again - time to call it quits!

Last night was relatively cool, with the temp just dropping down to 14c at around 7am. It’s now 29c, and no breeze.

They are forecasting rising temps through the week, with Thursday having a low of 23c, and a high of 40c, so that’s going to be a sleepless night! If the weather breaks properly next weekend, I will have all the trugs out to catch the rain water!!
