      Hi,

I agree with you lolimac; can we purchase thermometers here in Yorkshire that will read higher than 25C? Minus 25C isn't a problem. :phew:

      Kind regards, Colin.

Here in West Cheshire the temperature has risen to 88f with zephyrs of white cloud occasionally drifting, from the SouthWest, along in the skies, and that warm breeze coming and going:coffee:

According to my work it was 35' from about 3 o'clock until I finished at 6. It was already 23' when I started work at 9 this morning.

Sunny hot and breezy here with a high of 26c,although I was in Weymouth where it was warm and sunny with a strong wind, what a difference, only 22c. Made the boat trip along the Fleet lagoon too choppy to hold the camera still.:rolleyespink:

We eventually had a high of 36/37c (depending which weather station you use), it has now dropped to 33c...

                  Hi,

First time this year we'll sleep without the duvet on the bed; bring it on because next week it could revert back to winter here.

                  Kind regards, Colin

My sensor and max /min thermometer both got 35C, probably reading a bit high maybe.
Although both are sited facing North on a concrete wall.

But coming home in the car it never went below 93F.

A cool 29C at the moment, at this time in the evening the sun goes behind some big trees, so the garden is in total shade.

I'm not one for hot sun. Its ironic (if I'm using the term correctly), and a little bit annoying that I spend all that time working to keep the garden nice but I never sit in it. I generally sit on the sofa just inside the French door.

We never sit in the garden, the blueberries have taken over the patio.:heehee:
These days we find it too hot to sit in.

Hot, sunny and breezy, 24C/75F in the shade. I thought I'd leave mowing the front lawns until later on, but with the temperature still at 24C/75F around 7.30pm I abandoned the idea and mowed the back instead. Not much difference out there but at least it was mostly in shade. :)

Today. Ooops! yesterday. Far to hot for me. Forgive me please for mentioning my health but. All my working life was outdoors, and the weather never affected me. Since the onset of my clash with cancer 2014 so much has changed for me. Physically I can't stand the heat. I have found that my mind has undergone changes. I have lost interest in lifelong subjects etc.

Today for instance. I woke up feeling more tired than when I went to bed, albiet I slept sound. My flat is so insulated that, I've sat with the windows closed, blinds doun and fans and air condition units clocking up my electric bill. Now at 01.08 hrs 24.7.19 I am sat at my computer enjoying a tipple or two, having just applied eye drops. For those who enjoy the heat. Enjoy. Sorry to be a grouch.

1:30 am and we are in the middle of a loud thunderstorm, still very warm. Just checked the temp and it's 24C. Too hot for going to bed so we're sat watching a downloaded film.
It's been a right old sizzler of a day, well into the mid 30s. Managed to spent a good part of it outside as my sister has a huge sunshade canopy on her patio , it's a shame to stay cooped up indoors on a gorgeous day if you don't have to. Definitely a shady area is required though.:dbgrtmb:
I use to love being out in the sun, we still spend the majority of the day outside, usually eating all our meals in the garden, but thankfully we have created little shaded areas in various parts of our very sunny garden to accommodate our love for being outside. :)
