Good morning all sunny intervals and light wind temp 19 to 25c
      Precipitation 2%
      Sunrise was 5.16
      Sunset 21.12

Last night at 11.30 we had a thunderstorm, strange that we saw only the light until it was right over us. Had another at 3am that one was the normal one with a lot of rain.
Couldn't sleep it was even hotter upstairs even with the curtains drawn all day.

It's still very muggy but i hope that it doesn't get so hot.

      Have a good day all

When we went to bed last night (at around midnight, as it was so hot we stayed up later than normal) it was 27c downstairs, and 29c up in the bedroom.

This morning at around 7am the temp had finally dropped to 22c. It’s now 9am and already at 28c. Forecast to be at least 36c, but Wunderground is using a station over 10 miles away, as the local station has failed in the heat (stuck at the 37c high of yesterday!). I’m guessing it will be up to 38-39c today...

Grew up in Australia so heat is something I’m used to...enjoy....but the cooler heat on the coast here is so much more pleasant.
Better for our dogs too :)

                  Hi,

I'm sorry to learn of your health issues Mike and I wish you the best of luck; grouch away because I do and I'm fit still climbing trees at 71. Retirement can be excellent but unfortunately age brings problems. A good interesting hobby helps giving something to focus on; even joining a number of forums allows meeting people of like mind without leaving home. I'd like to get Bron interested in using a computer in case I drop dead but she's got zero interest in computers.

29C when we went to bed last night; at 2:45 this morning Blackie and Gale arrived with friends thunder and lightning; I was uninterested by their performance but one thunderclap caught my attention when it hit like a sonic boom vibrating our bungalow to its foundations; the last time I heard such a loud bang was in Ambleside The Lake District when an RAF fighter jet almost took my cap off it was flying so low; just a huge bang and the jet was gone; I rolled over and fell asleep out of boredom. First thing this morning I checked our bungalow was still up the valley side. :)

                  Kind regards, Colin.

I was woken up at 2am when the storms arrived with a huge clap of thunder:hate-shocked: The storms stayed around for about an hour with lots of thunder and frequent bright lightning that seemed to light up the whole house. I sat by the window watching, and listening to the whole show. I love thunderstorms but they seem to be a rare occurrence here in West Cheshire. I looked at the temperature and saw that the inside temperature was 80f even though the windows were open.:dunno: It did rain hard for a while giving a total amount of 9mm which will soak the garden nicely. Despite aall the really loud thunder and bright lightning my Cat, Jenny, slept blissfully about 2' from my feet, through the whole thing without even stirring!!:cat-kittyandsmiley::heehee:
Right now, the temperature is 79f, the skies are partly cloudly and that lovely, cooling breeze is back again.:hapydancsmil::)

After a brief spike of 37c, we’re back to the steady 36c. No breeze, I’m having to close doors and windows to keep the cool 27c indoor temperature in!!

                              Hi,

If only the weather would remain like this I could really enjoy myself. I finally managed to attach the decal to the mower grass box this morning and reunite the grass box with it's mower. I've put an offer on a TIG welder at £500 plus transport which has been accepted so I'm looking forward to having a go at TIG welding; I already have an industrial arc welder but I've fancied having a go with a TIG; I've also put an offer on an Apollo turbine paint sprayer but no reply as yet; I never want to grow up because I love playing with my toys.

                              Kind regards, Colin.

Not new but pretty good for its age after a lot of TLC.

I can't use this mower in anger because of our steeply sloping site but I only bought it as a restoration project.

The original petrol tank started popping pin holes so I installed the ugly plastic tank but I plan to make a new tank from scratch shortly.

It’s now 38c here, and Belgium has just recorded its hottest temp ever - 38.9 in Kleine Brogel in Limburg.
