We are 28c today, forecast for 23c tomorrow ... I'll believe it when I see it.

      Hi,

This time last night our front room was 32C it's now 20c. We've got two fans running and it now feels very pleasant indeed. :)

      Kind regards, Colin.

Well, a day that was mixed, after 3 mm of rain after 4am and a temperature of 26C, it came down to 21C by dawn.

Went to work and it rained pretty much all morning, just a steady rain, nothing drastic.
Got home and I dont think it rained here as I was still looking at 3 mm in the rain gauge.

28C Max, but after yesterday that was pretty cool surprisingly.

House is s till stinking hot as I have to shut it all up before going to work, its still 29C in my bedroom.:yikes::biggrin:

            Hi,

I've just put the duvet back on the bed; summer might be over but it's been a long summer lasting at least four days so I can't grumble; the nights are rapidly drawing in too; it felt like November today apart from being warm being overcast.

            Kind regards, Colin.

We don't want to think of November yet @Retired, summer's only just appeared. :)

27C/81F sunny and breezy until mid afternoon. Heavy clouds moved in threatening rain but it stayed dry and the temperature dropped to a more comfortable 22C/72F.

Since losing Valerie, I purchased a Halogen Oven. Simply a large glass bowl etc. It's fast and economical. I seldom use the big main oven. Saves all that cleaning. Can I pop over for sausages and chips, and a cuppa, pl.....e...a..s.e?

Here today, weatherwise. Due to the storms and the heavy rain, the temperature did seem to drop but there was no air about. It was nice to stand close to the open window. Then late afternoon it began to get hotter. At the mo (23.47) it's 78f in my flat, thats with two ceiling fans, one 15" fan and two a/c units adding to my electric bill.
Went shopping after tea. Local Sainsbury's had nowt in the salad section and none of my bread. No scotch. So I went to my favourites Tesco. Even worse, then eventually I spoted a notice on one of the freezer units. Apologies but the store is experiencing a massive failure to our refridgeration system. We are trying to resolve this ASAP.

Yesterday was cool all morning with the car thermometer showing 19C but then the cloud cleared and it went up to 33C. I then hid indoors in the cool.

Rain has just started (five hours later than forecast but I guess that was due to the rails warping :lunapic 130165696578242 5:) and supposed to continue until sunday night. I'll get the lifeboat out!

Been raining steadily for hours. Steady but gentle rain and everything looks refreshed. Much cooler - 18c and the cloud cover looks dense.

                                It’s lovely here today.

                                A cool 21c, with a slight breeze, and semi-overcast.

I’m about to take my morning coffee and walk around the garden, to see what’s survived, and what’s succumbed to the 41/42c of Thursday. Even from here, I can see that the leaves of the Kilmarnock willow are scorched brown.... will report back!!
