      Hi,

Wet as usual when I got up this morning. Not much better inside as I switched on the computer to check for mail; yet another error message to start the day; yesterday I received an eMail from DPD stating a tracking number and that the parcel would be with me no later than the 30th? The parcel is actually a new TIG welder and heavy from Cornwall to Huddersfield; I said to Bron I'll believe this when I see it.

I tried tracking the welder all day yesterday and early this morning it still wasn't showing as collected so I emailed the seller who replied the welder had just been collected by DPD a full day late. I've been trying to obtain argon gas and welding rods so I emailed a local supplier; my email was intercepted by a third party and passed on; to date still no reply from the local supplier. Is nothing straightforward these days; even having money I'm jumping through hoops in order to spend it. GRRRR. :wallbanging:

Thunder and heavy rain forecast from 2pm so I'm sure this forecast will be correct.

Rain; rain; rain and wind; so bad our new wild flower meadow has really suffered; I'm sure if I tried to shoot myself I'd miss; no it's not all getting me down because I'm permanently down fighting problems every day.

      Kind regards, Colin.

I've posted this previously but the flowers too have had enough; it's only a couple of weeks ago I cut the laurels back; they need trimming again and the laurel hedge is 60' long; will I ever get into the workshop?

        Hi,

This is more like the summer's I so enjoy.

Thunder and lightning hits Huddersfield - live updates

I walked to the end of the street to put our neighbours wheelie bin away but Blackie got me AGAIN.

The intense heatwave mentioned refers to anything in excess of 10C.

        Kind regards, Colin.

Kicked up really dog rough this afternoon. When we got home, a big'ish potted Fuchsia had rolled off the patio into the garden. A few flowers gone but no branches and pot's OK...:phew:
Blustery wind and rain so it's indoor jobs for the rest of the day,

Not much in the way of rain, just a couple of light showers, but the wind is the big factor.
Blowing everything over and ripping flowers off plants, think the damage will soon recover but we don't need this kind of thing in the middle of summer.

It touched 22C but only briefly, tending to be around the 19C mark.

                  Today I woke to a cool 16c.
Forecast for today is a high of 22c, 0% chance of rain.

...we had about 10 mins of rain (starting large thunder drops, easing back to heavy drizzle at 7am.

Now wondering if I will be working through my indoor or outdoor task list today!!

Yesterday was overcast with sunny intervals with a steady 73F and about an hour of drizzle. Today is windy and overcast but still mild.

                          Same here Jiffy.
2 main stems on 2 tomato plants snapped so that's a bummer.
Cloudy and warm but at least the wind's stopped.

                              Hi,

Blackie was here on a mission yesterday; he tried to float our bungalow down the valley but didn't succeed; the rain sure bounced down and must have done so last night too; it was torrential rain at 10:30 when we went to bed; as usual everything outside is soaking wet but it's a normal summer for us.

                              Kind regards, Colin.

After a dampish start, it brightened up pretty well, still a bit of a breeze but not as bad as yesterday.
                                24c, cant complain.
