          Hi,

WOW it turned into a nice dry sunny warm day after the wet start but breezy; Blackie must be getting tired of soaking us?

To celebrate I took Bron over to Meadowhall Shopping Centre for some retail therapy; I actually put on my sunglasses in the car.

          Kind regards, Colin

It's still cloudy wih some Sunshine, the gentle warm breeze has returned, and there's no sign of any impending rain. Right now the temperature is 70f, the breeze is coming from the South, and the pressure reading is 988hpa.:coffee::)

                Hi,

Can I save a bit of time in the morning with a ditto?

                upload_2019-8-5_21-31-21.png

Is there no let up from my constant companions Blackie and Gale? It was nice to remember what hot sunshine was for a brief period today.

                Kind regards, Colin.

Promised rain all day it was sunny until late afternoon, 24C/75F. Having decided to spend an hour or so with my electric strimmer tackling nature, I was lucky to finish just before a thunderstorm blew it's way over. The first of many that had been promised over the last few weeks. The temperature dropped after to 17C/63F.

Such strange changes to the weather cycle. In some respects. It's perhaps causing our gardens to react from one extreme to the other.

Yesterday, from about midday, it gradually got hotter and rose to a very sticky 82F/28C. At 6 a.m. this morning it was 72F/22C and feeling nice and fresh. The forecast is light rain showers which usually means 'you'll be lucky if you get any' (showing a 25% chance of rain - in Shineyland terms means 5%) so I've put the sprinkler on the veg garden.

Friday they're forecasting a 74% chance of thunderstorms which in Shineyland terms means a possibility of a shower.
