    Hi,

Definitely true Upsy; Bron and I must be the greediest two people on the planet when it comes to bagging rain. I was rudely awakened during the early hours of this morning thinking I'd been awoken by thunder but I then realized it was Blackie wearing clogs dancing on our roof and he's only just let up; it's a miserable wet black hole as usual this morning but surprisingly warm.

I've already done the three supermarket shopping and after a mug of tea need to go into the soaking wet garden to repair badger damage AGAIN. Badgers visit us every night and for years have been welcome but recently they started to cause damage digging very big holes at first; each time they've dug holes I've made good but embedded stones; the holes became smaller being dug between the stones and I thought a few days ago they had finally got the message so I planted a Potentilla; this morning the area is a mess and the Potentilla has been dug up; I'm absolutely sick of all these little problems which daily divert me from getting into the workshop.

No badgers were harmed during the writing of this post.

Thanks shiney; unfortunately Blackie is deaf and I've got to employ him under government rules regarding disablement.

    Kind regards, Colin.

Oh dear that doesn't sound good Colin. Lovely to have wildlife in the garden and I don't mind them nibbling things ....but holes!! Thankfully we only have moles , but they annoy us no end!

          Yes Upsy....you taking part? :)
The surfing is not affected ...just the music festival. Sad though, I know of one or two who literally banked on doing great business over the weekend :) Awful timing for a storm

We had a lovely rain yesterday. On and off for about 2 hours. Much needed free water and then when the clouds left, they took all of the humidity with them and things cooled down so the rainwater didn't simply evaporate and leave us where we started.

Right now (it is 7 a.m.) the skies are clear and it is 62f with a high of around 77f predicted. Absolutely lovely :) Got a load of laundry going to hang up in awhile on my new brolly line. In the meantime, I'll read the news as I sit by the window with a cool gentle breeze making me forget the last week of hot and humid days :)

I wish!!....but then again I can't swim!!! Floundering and beached whale spring to mind!!!:roflol:
When our boys were young we spend the summer hols down at Polzeath, hubs did a bit surfing and the boys attempted it too. I just loved exploring the rock pools.
Hubs and I went back for a week a couple of years ago...but it wasn't the same without the boys.

Sad for all, a lot of work went into organising the events and a lot of potential revenue lost.

22C, still with intermittent sunny spells but the breeze is picking up....not quite to 'wind' levels yet. :)

It's started to shower heavily again and in the last couple of minutes we've had 5mm of rain causing the gutters and drains to overflow. The temperature has dropped from 70f to 64f very quickly, the total rainfall, so far, is just over 18mm, while the pressure reading is 975hpa:coffee::)
