It's been raining all afternoon and tonight, just like they said it will be.

That's our summer gone,it's rapidly going into autumn, very disappointing August this year.

 

Very wet out there - looks like a lot of rain o'night. Cloudy and a slight breeze. Definitely not an outdoor picnic day in prospect.

Yesterday it was dry for most of the day (a short shower around 8pm) with a high of 23c.

In contrast, after a warm dry night, there was a heavy shower at 6am, loud enough to wake me, and since 8am we have had light drizzle. Temp is down to about 17c, and it looks set in for the day....

The weather can do as it likes today because today is Colin's day in the workshop; I'm sick of constant Blackie & Gale so they can pester someone else whilst I play with my toys.

I'm having a go at making a new petrol tank for the Colt mower I restored; my tank design involves metal spinning.

Woodturning domed former under way.


One dome completed and the second will be completed this afternoon.



Once both domes are completed then I can try TIG welding for the first time which I'm looking forward to. I like metal spinning and this is a good excuse to do more.
