A cloudless sky and plenty of sunshine this morning. By early afternoon the clouds appeared and the sun was playing hide and seek. Even without a breeze the leaves are dropping well now. 19C/66F.

We had a surprisingly good day yesterday, although the rain arrived an hour earlier than the 7pm forecast. But we’d had a lovely walk along the coast, seeing the front passing up the coast from Cherbourg towards us.
Currently 18c in the tiny conservatory (that I’m probably warming up with my body heat and coffee!) and 16c out there in the drizzle. Apparently we have some serious precipitation heading our way later this morning, with 16mm forecast in total for the day.

Still, I have my coffee, my homemade double-choc cookie, my music, and am about to start on a commission drawing. All’s well!

@wiseowl You're partially correct. :blue thumb: I have been out in the rain to fill up the bird feeders but definitely not just 'walking' in the rain.

We too had very heavy rain at 5/ 5:30 but it has now moved on ( for now!) and the sun is now shining. A lot more rain has been predicted for today....and the garden is happily soaking it up!

So dark this morning - lights on all over the place. Raining steadily with the odd gust but a warm wind.
Good for taking semi ripe cuttings if it stops.
Window cleaners due this morning - typical,
                    Jenny

                      Hi,

It's a black hole with rain coming down like pencils at the moment; Blackie my personal cloud sure is looking after watering our gardens; he's so good to me. :wallbanging:

Too wet to work in the gardens and I'll get a soaking if I dare go down to the workshop; looks like I'm grounded for today but a rest won't hurt me for a change; as a doctor once remarked it takes an awful lot of R&R to knock someone up.

                      Kind regards, Colin.

Great thing about holidays, even with torrential rain, is that breakfast can be two courses....

...and it’s possible to better homemade double-choc cookie!

Rain pretty heavy first thing, brightening up now , not cold, 19C and rising.

12mm of rain, not seen anything like that since the beginning of August.
