This afternoon sunshine and showers one was torrential rain.

 

I suspect there was a light frost in the early hours this morning as there was a heavy dew on the back lawn. We were promised rain this afternoon but the sun was with us all day. 16C/61F

My personal black cloud Blackie doesn't do "light rain" as forecast for today; the rain sure is coming down so if this is light rain I wonder what heavy rain is going to be like from 6pm today?



It's the usual wet dreary black hole so I'm grounded unless I want another soaking if I head towards the workshop. I'm pleased though because I'm on top of gardening jobs at last so can relax.

Thank you very much and it really worked..after an iffy start we got 23 degrees now.
Annnnd the fair is arriving in town so that'll do for me.

 

Some heavy rain and strong wind in Weston Super Mare midday, a dry spell in the afternoon and then torrential rain all the way back home, 18c.

Good to know you're still with us. Yes mate. I couldn't agree more when you say what a friendly loving forum this is. I can't help thinking how time might be running ouit for me. So much of my garden stock is now in planters etc for easy relocation etc. I have given details to my youngest (53yr old daughter) to post a message and to notify internet friends, the reason for my absence.

Had very heavy rain first thing this morning but it's dry now and all the rabbits are back out playing in the fields....lovely sight.

Aww! @Mike Allen , try and stay positive ( hard at times I know), none of us know what around the corner.
One thing about gardening is that it's all about planning and looking forward.
Despite my Dad's frailty,he still looks through all the plant catalogues that come through the door ( still in my Mum's name) and buys a couple a year, he's just ordered 2 beautiful little shrubs for some patio pots ( can't think of their name). He's in his mid 90's now and his garden gives him a future to look forward to......as it does all of us.
