Had heavy drizzle at 5pm. I've been trying to collect leaves for the hedgehog houses that we built but every time i try to it starts raining.

Dry day today, with the sun breaking through now. No gardening today as it's still very soggy , tomorrow looks to be a lovely sunny day so hopefully I'll get to finish the bulb planting. Might do some retail therapy with my two sisters today;)

              Hi,

A bit of retail therapy will do you a lot of good Upsy but better during the week rather than weekend if possible. Bron and I visit stores just as they open then we can use our own legs to get around and without unruly kids being a nuisance; no problem at all with kids that are taught manners and behave. Places like Meadowhall Shopping Center are a nightmare later in the day and weekends; we like to get in and out without fuss. Bron highly recommends retail therapy. :awesome:

It's soggy here too and very dull but I've just been moving lots of primroses and as the soil is so soggy it's actually making the job a lot easier; as a bonus I've had a little friend for company; a robin so near I could touch it as it flitted from branch to branch. I'm just enjoying a mug of tea and bickie before I head up the mountain again.

So much to do and so little time in which to do it; it's hard trying to fit retirement in.

              Kind regards, Colin.

                Hi,

It turned into a perfect gardening day after all; overcast but quite pleasant so I spent a full morning in the garden then this afternoon washed and dried the car; tomorrow after this rare day we're back to normal which is like a long playing record stuck in a groove; how boring.

Been cloudy all day but dry and warm afternoon.

Hubby always does the supermarket rounds at 7 am, it's not so busy at that time.
On Monday's it's no use going to sainsbury's for fruit and veg and 4pts of fat free milk, have to go to morrisons for that.

                    Hi,

I too do the supermarket shopping very early Logan; Morrison's; then Aldi then Home Bargains all near each other and usually back home by 7:45. I don't usually mind doing the shopping but I do mind a great deal just before Christmas when shoppers behave like it's the end of the world.

There were two rows of primroses but the wildflowers dwarfed them so I got around to relocating them all this morning about 50 of them then made good the ground.

The top side of the wildflowers the ground cleared and hoed. A busy morning but very pleasant. Note how wet the soil is which is normal.

                    Garden Oct 2019_0005.JPG

Some of the relocated primroses all now under shrubs and trees allowed to grow in peace.

It was perfect for gardening this morning and no Blackie to give me a soaking; I was wearing my heavy "site" coat so the cool prevailing breeze didn't trouble me at all; as I planted the primroses a robin was very near talking to me. Such ideal days are rare but most welcome.

                    Kind regards, Colin.

Just another normal day then wiseowl. :dbgrtmb: Yep another wet black hole but much more pleasant in the workshop where I'll be shortly sorting a mower cable out for a friend. :)

                          Kind regards, Colin.

It's a lovely damp day today. Hopefully the rain will help in closing up the cracks in the ground. I finished all the mowing yesterday so the rain is well organised.

Hate to say it but we are in for a lovely day here, the sun is out and are enjoying our coffee on the east ( morning sun trap) patio.
Planning on a whole day in the garden as its back to rain tomorrow!

                                Have a good day.:)
