      Had a fair amount of rain in the night, more showers expected today. Currently 21c, will only go up a couple more degrees. Sun is popping in and out. :SUNsmile:

        @Upsydaisy
        Sympathise about the TPOs. I have exactly the same problem, a shelter belt of conifers, including Leylandii and Sitka spruce, alongside the house 15ft away at the closest, all covered by an Area TPO.

          Good morning all light rain and a moderate breeze temp 10c to 11c
          Earlier it was heavy rain, but now the sun is trying to break through.
          Got wet walking the boys twice this morning.

            @Upsydaisy, There has been a recorded gust of 101mph this morning around the Needles on the IOW, and I thought it was bad enough here with just one piece of mortar off the roof and all the pots laying everywhere!

                Oh my goodness...that's too scary to think about! I have a friend living in that area. Also have a friends who have gone to their holiday mobile home down your way @strongylodon , hope all is well with them too.

                It's now eased off a lot here, so I'm going out to see if any damage has been done..:fingers crossed:

                      We've had 5.5mm of rain during the night but it's dry night. The temperature is 48f but there is no winds or even a breeze here, unlike the Southern and Western regions, so it's not a bad day here in West Cheshire. The pressure has dropped even further to 956hpa and that is the lowest I have ever seen it this year and probably for a couple of years.
                      I hope those of us who are down "Sarrf" are safe and have suffered no damage to anything.:love30:

                          Well not too much to report damage wise. Some pots blown over, including a big one with a shrub in it, and pots containing some of my winter bedding that I sown from seed and were awaiting planting out. My biggest Dahlia that was still in full bloom has snapped in several places and a few other plants now look worse for wear! The awning on our caravan ( now shed!!:)) had been ripped on one corner. So all in all not bad at all.:bigthumb:

                          Hope everyone else has got off lightly too.

                            Been a bit scary with some horrendous gusts that roared. Didn't like those. Went out of town a bit this morning 2 trees down but passable. 17.21 pm and the wind's dying down a bit but not a good night for Battle Bonfire sadly, no damage at home...all cosy now..:thumbsup:

                              Haven't had them up here in the west Midlands, just moderate breeze and raining at times. But thinking of all the folks down south.

                                Our second typical November day. The fog and rain has stayed with us and the wind is now picking up. It was a pleasure to pull the curtains this evening and shut it out. 8C/46F
