WHATS YOUR WEATHER LIKE 2019

Hi,

Cold and dark but dry so I'm happy Blackie is having a rest.

I didn't want our neighbours to think no one on the street was busy so yesterday I got cracking and made 65 aluminium welding practice blanks running the bandsaw and belt grinder; not too much noise and with the workshop doors closed; I was brought up with a good work ethic and every day is another day to be active and productive; it works for me; Bron too has been busy with her crafting; life is good.

The weather has been dreadful here on Mann since I arrived ten days ago. I'm back on the Irish Sea early evening today - it's raining and a force 8 gale has been blowing all day. It's set to reduce a bit as evening progresses but my stomach isn't looking forward to nigh on 4 hours being tossed about.

Hi,

Blackie must be having an extended Christmas holiday because no rain for a few days although his sister Gale is here trying to blow the bungalow over and it's cold.

We're worried about our friends in Australia under threat from the bush fires; I'd rather have our wet cold climate anytime than their drought and fires; apart from flooding we're pretty safe here in the UK; I can honestly say there's no place like home living here in Yorkshire.

It was a very mild day 41f today. Dragged three of my granddaughters along to do some errands and the sun was shining and pleasant. There was zero arguing over who got to ride shotgun. They decided that they would take turns after each stop. I guess torturing them with Harry Belafonte if they raised their voices has paid off

It is still above freezing and the sun has almost set.

Yesterday 2/1/20 I actually went to the shops on my own. Daughter Amanda tells me, I should get out more. When I say yes. She insists on getting my shopping for me. Truly she is a great daughter.

Anyway, I went out. There was that chill to the air and that kind of moisture that wasn't quite rain. Hey ho. I really enjoyed it. The sky was still overcast and dissmal. Never mind. I returned home with my special medicine. Sainsbury's blend scotch. Even if I don't get out. I can saty in and be happy.
