A strong gust of Northerly almost blew me back indoors at 7.30am. Sunny intervals now but the wind!
            Feel sorry for fledglings today...

Cold night and not a particularly warm day, cold NE wind but some sunny periods may go down to freezing tonight!

A clear sky last night brought the temperature down but not quite low enough for frost. There's been heavy cloud around today but despite that the sun has shone for most of the day. 10C/50F

Yesterday was quite cold in the wind and shade but felt warm when and very pleasant when wearing suitable clothing and working in the sunshine.

This morning is pretty frosty but the sun is now coming out. There is not the slightest hint of a breeze so is fairly pleasant in the sun (just come in from wandering around). If the wind stays away it will be very nice for working out there.

Let's hope that was the last frost. It was only mild at home, car windscreen icy and the lawn frosted. I had fleeced just about everything I could think of outside with fresh growth, hosts etc and they are ok. Maybe lost a few French beans were the fleece had blown off.

It was much worse at my allotment, downhill from home about half a mile away. Plotholders that didn't prepare look to have lost their spuds. I earthed mine up so they are fine. Just forgot my dahlia bed which had small new shoots coming, I hope it will just knock them back.

It's a cloudy day, with the winds coming from the South and SouthEast. while the temperature is 46f making it a "cool" day. We've not had any substantial rain for nearly two months so I need to water the garden and pots, top up the pond, as there's no forecast for any rain in the near future. Right now, the pressure reading is 1011hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

At around half past five, distinctly chilly and even a grass frost out here. Clear skies and very lovely.

Now after half past eleven, clouded and an inhospitable northerly wind. met ie say ten. But invigorating.. Been gathering in the "hay" I cut, ie the overgrown grass that fell to the electric shears. Doing my Landgirl act!

A strong wind blew this morning dropping around noon but drizzle followed that. Early evening saw a glimpse of sunshine with the sky gradually clearing. 7C/45F
