Woken from a delicious sleep by the old familiar Irish music of wind and rain..chilly too... brrr .. looking at met.ie no good weather in view either. I spent a wee while sorting the cats out with their in-out routine. Three huge round furry balls on the bed with me. .. cats have such a talent for sleep..

It has worsened as I slept... Bitter harsh horizontal rain and a strong wind. SO COLD. Sometimes in Ireland we get a single lovely day amidst bad weather, as happened yesterday. They call them " pet days". You learn to enjoy them to the utmost. Shivers; of to boil water for a hwb and later will light the fire/stove. IN JULY.

We have a lovely sunny start to our day, although we don't have rain on the agenda today I think this sunshine with become intermittent. High on 19C.

 

Ah I am well used to this out here. All the muck we get across the Atlantic! I enjoyed yesterday, lifting my face to the sun and watching the restless ocean and being glad to be alive in these perilous times. Glad in a different way today and the cats have it right; stuff your face then curl up and sleep!

Had a bit of rain this morning, now it's still cloudy and very windy, it's moving the pots again.

 

Maybe you have a..... pottergeist! ( had to use a double t as autocorrect chimed in!

I have been up too long; this weather is stultifying so night night for now!

 

Sunny spells and near gale force winds gusting to 50mph, same as the last three days, 18c.

 

Its been a bright day with sunny periods, the wind has been getting up all day.
Its now pretty rough but still sunny.

 

Quieter now but still wet and misty.

The forecast for Saturday and Sunday is dire. High winds and " a risk of some disruption" . AGAIN!

I will pick my peas and beans tomorrow as opposed to Sunday

 

Weather has been perfect ... high 20s and breezy,not a cloud in the sky going down to about 16c at night. It can stay like this forever with me.

 

Sunny yesterday but back to rain and/or mizzle today until this last hour, the sun has decided to show itself for a while. Cold at 11C/52F and the heating's on yet again. It's been so damp recently there are toadstools growing all over my back lawn.
