I am correcting the above ... the house is East facing, the rising sun ... don't know why I got that wrong ... heat stroke perhaps! It is coming up to 7.30 and we are 31c. Furry critters are in and having dinner and in till 8am tomorrow.

 

Just had a thunderstorm and very heavy rain

 

Rain overnight that cleared this morning. Sunny and hot with a welcome gentle breeze while I was mowing the lawn. 20C/68F

 

Been raining all afternoon and a gusty wind. Nothing like a Summers day.
It will turn courgettes into marrows overnight.

When we had the thunderstorm there must have been flooding on the road, there's a lot of debris on the road and blocked the grid on top of the drain, hubby had to use his foot to clear it.

Dry today currently about 14°C rising to 19°C. Tomorrow heavy rain and winds.

 

Well yesterday was a very welcomed day. The garden looks revived and refreshed ...and no need for watering for a few days!
Lovely sunny morning now and a promising looking day ahead to enjoy.

might get some more rain at 6pm.

 

Sunny spells but a strengthening wind throughout the day, very blustery afternoon, so no change there. 19c.

 

Like the nine tenths bit, is that something you use a lot, thought it was a aeronautical term?

We are pretty much 9 tenths as well at the moment, but it was sunnier earlier and it reached a respectable 24c.

 

A sunny start but the cloud has crept in as the day's progressed. Very windy too but it's starting to ease now. 16C/61F
