Raining with gales blowing...the roar of the wind through the trees is terrific!!
Staying a constant 17C all through the evening and night, its going to be warm as I daren't even attempt at opening a window for fear of it being ripped off its hinges!!

The same here Upsydaisy. It's been drizzling all day and the gale is back for it's second round of destruction this evening. It should die down in the early hours. The forecast for this coming week looks sunny and calm - we'll see. 8C/46F

@Sheal our winds are still going to rage on until midday tomorrow. This coming week looks to be sunnier but a lot colder :yikes:!! Tonight our temps are 17C...but on Tuesday our nightime low will be -1!!!!!
This is what I hate about our autumns/winters my joints just can't cope with such varying temperatures.

Well, the Weather Radar has been showing a real mass of rain bearing cloud coming from the West into Cheshire all day. But for some reason the cloud seems to divide, going to the North and the South, and going both sides of my area, hence no rain today so far.
Right now the winds are coming from the SouthEast, the temperature is 60f, (at this time of night in November:hate-shocked:!!), and the pressure reading is 979.8hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Yesterday was OK until late afternoon and then the wind picked up. It has been extremely windy all night and I've just done a patrol of the garden. Lots of branches and limbs down from the trees  - especially from silver birch, willow and poplar. I was going to pick up the apple windfalls but it's too dangerous at the moment with poplar branches raining down.

We have clear skies with, hopefully, lots of sun when it rises but no venturing out unless the wind drops.

A very mild, very windy night, plenty of rain. Currently bright, but still windy. No obvious damage to trees and fences.

Currently 17c going to 24c. A little cloud and slight breeze. Rain supposedly arriving tomorrow which will be welcomed.

It was 18c a couple of hours ago, just after it stopped raining.
It's now windy with sunny periods, but temperature down to 14c I notice.

After Saturday's damaging gale it retuned again late yesterday but not quite as bad. Completely calm today with a mixture of sunshine, cloud and a few short, light showers. 7C/45F
