10c heavy rain at 5am,damp now and cloudy

Just want to say it is interesting looking at everyone's sunrise and sunset times. I don't miss the short the short, dark days at all.

 

At 6.30am got soaked walking Barley, then it suddenly stopped, now the cloud has cleared and it's sunny. Don't think that I'll do anything outside everything is going to be wet.

It's darker up here than the rest of Britain at this time of year @Victoria. At the Winter solstice sunset is usually at 3.33pm, but once that time is past the evening daylight eventually opens up by three minutes a day. I'm not too bothered at this time of year as working outside is limited anyway. The bonus comes during summer when sunset is around 11pm and it doesn't really get dark overnight. I don't think my neighbours would be happy with me mowing lawns that late though.

The sun appeared for a couple of hours late morning but cloud quickly saw it off. Breezy with a couple of light showers this evening. 8C/46F

 

Good kite flying weather tomorrow :fan:i hear.

 

I haven't got a kite Wee Tam. There are a number of Red Kites around here though.

Mild up to 14°C: that's the good news. The bad news: strong winds, heavy rain and possible thunder storms later.

 

A day of thundery showers accompanied by a fresh breeze High of 14C. As its still dry at the moment I'm heading off out into the garden to carry on with what I started yesterday.
