Another glorious day unfolds A bit chilly at 3C but the garden's on an east-facing slope so the sun soon warms it up. Just been out to check the chickens' water bowls, and no ice, so not too bad

 

Has your sunshine arrived yet @shiney?? I've only gone and given all ours away and now we're left with fog...thick fog!! High of 10C with a low tonight of 2C.
Keep safe if out and about.

 

Looks like we can accuse you of nabbing all the sunshine today then @noisette47 .
I can officially declare myself blameless today!!

 

This autumn is the complete opposite of last year, @Upsydaisy, when it started raining in October and didn't stop for 4 months I'll send you all some sunshine quickly...it's set to change to a westerly tomorrow...warmer but wet

 

Tut! One doesn't 'get drunk' on Bordeaux, Monsieur! One sips it delicately with one's red meat or smelly French cheese

That's most kind of you ...quickly would be good as I'm just heading out the door to walk over to my brother's......and ( I know this would be too unbearable for you all to have to deal with..) ...I might get swallowed up by the fog and never seen again!!!

 

Thick cloud and a gentle breeze from the south west temp 5c

 

We are currently having a thunderstorm which started at 6am, temp 14c going to 18c. Under heavy rain warning till noon. Not sure we'll see the sun today.

It was weird, last night we were watching TV and there was constant lightning in the distance. Looked at the radar and there was nothing, absolutely zero. Looked further and there was a massive storm over SW Spain! T'other Half put it up on the TV screen and when we saw the flash we counted and at about 3 there was a lighting flash in Spain. We watched it for several minutes. The Border is about 80kms from us as the crow flies with the Calderao Mountains between us!!!

 

An interesting morning. The storm got quite intense with torrential rain. We lost the power for an hour and internet for two hours. Sun has come out but another storm is heading our way.

Looking through my pictures whilst power off I found a picture of the Serra do Caldeirao hills between us and Spain where we saw the lightning last night.

 

The industrial areas have suffered ...
