Really scary winds, local wind speed is now at 54mph but as we are always in a wind tunnel I'm certain it higher. The big trees surrounding us are swaying back and forth quite fiercely. Was planning to walk round to my sister's.....but blow that for a lark, literally!!

Bolt your doors everyone and stay put, nothing is more important that your safety.

Glad you're safely back indoors Woo. I've not been brave enough to venture out this afternoon at all. The trees scare me on days like this.....too close for comfort!!

Still raining as it has done all day but the wind has dropped to around 50mph although very mild for mid february at 11c!
                Yes @CanadianLori that is 11c not 11f.

I was just about to post about your area @strongylodon .....winds have been well in their 60s for you . Are you close to the sea or actually in Wareham ? I like seeing the sea on a really rough day....it's such a powerful force to be reckoned with.

We loved Polzeath and went there a lot with our boys. I have been checking their live web cam today..

At this moment I'd say the wind is worse than last week, its blowing like crazy.

Good evening, gusty winds. Who's been eating baked beans?:heehee:and light rain. Have to go out in it to walk the boys, but not round the woods. Have to be careful where trees have got ivy growing up them because it can bring them down and there's a lot like that in the woods and up the road.

Well, I,m surprised that we haven't had as much rain as I thought we would so far with a rainfall total of just 7.5mm. I've have totals of 13mm to 21mm of rain in a day on normal wet days last year, but maybe there is some more to come.:dunno: Anyway, the temperature has been 50f with gusting winds and showers of rain. Right now, the temperarture is still 50f and the pressure reading is 971hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Winds are still howling and racing around the house at 56 mph, I expect our lane is flooded as you turn into it.

Still wet and windy  road flooded

Funny how flooding make people get out and do things when it comes to their place being flooded and tis they're problem to start with which now they have a mess because the digger is running about on very wet ground :cry3::biggrin:

Sort out a problem early before it becomes a bigger problem,
