WHATS YOUR WEATHER LIKE 2020

Another mild, wet and windy day. So far there has been about 4" inches of rain since midnight Friday. 1500L water tank on new greenhouse has filled up in less than a week.

Last night at 11 pm it was gale force winds and torrential rain, couldn't get to sleep because of it.
This morning Barley wouldn't go out not because of the weather, he gets like this sometimes if something changes in the home or if we do something different.

By the time we got out the heavy rain had stopped and it was just a bit of drizzle. In the woods the path was flooded because it dips a bit and it floods.

I hope you have all survived the night!

I’m currently in the Welsh Marches, watching the river rise up the garden. When I woke at 7am, the water was just starting to creep under the hedge. By 9.30am, it was up to, and generously surrounding, the silver birch, so about 4-6” higher. It has the look of a rapidly rising river. Again, last night, the playing fields were clear, now you can see that they are totally submerged, and the river has fully breached, as the fenceposts next to the river walk are under!

we are currently in a lull between two bands of rain. The red-warning rain from South Wales will reach here in about an hour....

 

Still wet and windy, heavy showers but the wind is less but them gusts catch you out when outside keeping an eye on water levels, sand bags are at the ready by garage door

 

No let up with the rain since yesterday and windy but not as bad as yesterday which was nearly as bad as last week.

 

It's still raining but the wind has died down.

 

Our lane is flooded as usual. And our local river, The Itchen, is flowing high and fast.

More fence panels have decided to join the other fallen ones too.

Still heavy rain with the Amber warning.


Some how ( don't know how) the greenhouse door slid open and everything is soaking wet and has be blown everywhere!!

 

Wind has dropped considerably in the last hour or so, still pretty steady rain.
Temperature has dropped from 12.5C at dawn to 8.5C now.
