    Hi

    I couldn't agree more regarding letting Australia have our rain Upsy but I'd add I'd happily send Blackie over but he likes me too much. We have friends in Australia who live in the bush fire area and it worries us so we can only guess their anxiety.

    Going into the kitchen this morning and glancing out of the winder at the patio; :wow: it's dry so I quickly collected my camera but too late Blackie realized what I was going to do so down came the rain; one day the patio will be completely dry. Please note how clean the patio is; Morrison's 21p vinegar poured on and gently brushed in with half a bucket of water with Morrison's cheap washing up liquid added.

    Almost dry._0001.JPG

    It can pour with rain for months but give us a couple of hours without rain and our site drains rapidly it being so steep; I ensured the patio and paths had a decent fall allowing water to discharge freely; we don't flood and we'll never suffer bush fires. In spite of our wet climate we love it here in Yorkshire.

    Kind regards, Colin.

        Yes very lucky indeed @Victoria !! The posts have gone too , our previous neighbours put it up ...and did a cheap rubbish job!! And we paid half too. We'll have a chat to the 'new' neighbours and get a descent job done this time.

        I would love to be able to crochet ,I have tried several times and failed dismally. I love knitting, even complicated patterns.:)

        Shame about your plans for today.:sad:

                Hi

                Thanks Upsy; it is worrying for us regarding our friends in Australia; makes us appreciate Blackie doesn't it? :scratch:

                Many thanks my feathered friend Woo; excellent term for my personal black cloud "Blackyitus" I couldn't have put it better. Regarding the end of the tunnel if you lived here in Wet Yorkshire your feathers would seldom dry out and we wouldn't see you having a dust bath either; the end of the tunnel has been bricked up by Dr Beeching hence no decent weather ever since;

                Beeching cuts - Wikipedia

                I'm pleased I don't make watering cans or garden hoses for sale in Yorkshire. :):heehee:

                By contrast and just to prove me wrong; after the brief shower this morning just to torment me whilst I was taking the picture of the patio it's turned into a rather nice sunny day; its very cold in the breeze though; my petrol rotavator refused to start after dragging it up the mountain but I've just got it running; if ever it warms up outside I'll remove the carburetor and blow the jets out; the rotavator is just like new having had very little use; it was reluctant to start only firing up after being primed then it would die indicating petrol shortage; no problem at all for me to sort out I just want some warm weather.

                Kind regards, Colin.

                  Sunny intervals and occasional showery afternoon and a cold breeze.

                        Had to drive into the city and there were flooded roads everywhere and a lot of big branches scattered around also.:sad:
