        Yesterday was hot during the middle of the day and reached 77F/25C in the shade but felt much hotter as the sun was so strong Although I'm using the sprinkler a lot some of our very large shrubs are dying as we've had almost no rain since January.

        This morning is very sunny but fairly cold at the moment at 43F/6C

                I sympathise @pete, it would drive me barmy too. In between the digger and dumper working in my garden at present the loudest thing I could hear was a bumble bee.

                No change in the current run of good weather here still. Sunny with a gentle breeze. My ground is absolutely parched even 3ft down it's like dust. :doh:17C/63F

                          It was nearly 2 pm before the low cloud properly cleared, now clear blue and 19.5C

                              I feel sorry for the young plants at this time of year , I've just fleeced them all up in our greenhouse ....temps were 25C on Thursday, now down to 2C tonight.
