WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2021

Sunny and bright but still have winds of over 40 mph ,hopefully things will calm down by this afternoon.
High of 13C with an overnight low of 3C.
Haven't ventured out yet to see if we have any damage, not really worth it until the winds cease.

 

The winds became strong and steady, rather than gusty, at around midnight. The rain started at about 2am. Temperature is now 9c, compared to the 1c at the same time yesterday. Rain has now become intermittent. According to Windy, the wind speeds are 40kph, with gusts of 74kph. We are expecting the peak windspeed at around 11am...

So far, we seem to have survived the winds.... one soft cloche cover had blown off, but had caught fast in the bushes nearby, so I didn’t have to head into Grand Place in Brussels to retrieve it. The trees are not yet in full leaf, but the apples are in full blossom now, so are a little vulnerable.

The only good news I can find about the weather is that we have a guy coming this evening to give us a quote for a replacement gate into the property (yes, the same wind-damaged garden gate from 2 years ago). At least I won’t have to try to explain how the whole garden acts as a wind tunnel, in my pigeon french!! It will be demonstrating it!!

 

A full day of sun forecast, currently 12c with a light breeze going to 23c.

 

Have had some very fine rain and now it's seems to brightening up for now.
Expect showers today with sunny intervals and a moderate breeze from the west north west temp 5c.

 

Yesturday was just like winter, well we did have leaves on the treenow all on the road /lawns
today 8c sunny-ish damp start, windy

 

Wind still gusting, blue sky with lots of clouds racing across.
Had 3.5mm of rain last night, its barely dampened the ground.

 

It is about 23c out there with a light breeze. We shall go a few degrees higher tomorrow and Thursday.. Our forecast storms/rain for next week seem to have disappeared.

 

Wind very slowly dropping and more sun than cloud 15c.

 

It is currently 46f and raining quite steadily.

Luckily I was just finishing clearing the greenhouse gutters when it started so the rain barrels will be collecting lots. And I have all of the pots sitting out on the table getting a nice dose so they will be ready for my larger plants to be potted in as their final home this year. Free water! Free water!

We've got a few more cold nights coming up but nothing below freezing so that makes me super happy.

 

Still breezy but no where near as bad as this morning or yesterday. Lovely and sunny though.

Well, it was cold enough Monday night to give the fells a dusting of the white stuff.
