WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2021

I'm snuggled under the duvet with a hot water bottle !!!. I just can't believe this weather!!!

 

Having porridge for brekkie tomorrow....

 

Oooh....good idea Jenny.....fancy some now actually!!!

 

They have just said it was the coldest summer solstice for 40 yrs.
In the south that is, not sure about other parts of the country.

 

I've had a bottle of fizzy orange for taking to the plot sitting in the fridge for days. Thought about taking a flask of hot coffee instead.

Nights start drawing in from tomorrow [1]. Our hens have already started going to bed earlier.



[1] It doesn't actually start getting dark earlier of an evening for a while, the days start getting shorter because sunrise starts getting later.

 

We had our fire on yesterday evening, put the thicker duvet on the bed with the thinner one but it was too warm.

 

We've just added a fleece over the top of our summer one. Can't beat a good old hot water bottle too!

 

I can believe it...my hands have been ice cold all day long!!

 

In the winter we usually have a hot water bottle each and we thought about having them last night but we didn't. Have got fleece blankets but not a double size.

 

We have single, double and king size....like to be prepared!!
We also have our own hotwater bottles, mines in a flower cover and hub's is in a pig or dog cover , could never suss out what animal it's suppose to be!!
We also have a narrower one that is really long too..that's for emergency back-up !!

 

Front door faces NE - I've just propped the doormat up against the door to keep the cold out overnight...
just like Winter...

 

Hot Chocolate anyone, I've just made one .

 

That looks more like cocoa.

 

Oh now come on, even I dont have a hot water bottle, just the vest.
