Cats come alive in the night, I've just been looking for my Bella up the little back road and she's busy inspecting the hedgerow ... no intention of coming in.
It's nice out now, cool and pleasant

Sarafi spent eight hours asleep on my executive chair under the pergola yesterday and even at 6 p.m. when I offered him a piece of chicken he just opened one eye, looked at it and went back to sleep. I've never known him to turn down a little bit of food before.

                  Hi,

Up at 6 o'clock this morning and already done the supermarket shopping; beautiful morning and forecast hotter later today; I love this rare heat it makes a change from lashing rain.

Just having a mug of tea then I can resume painting window frames; I need to do this early otherwise with the heat after dinner paint dries as soon as it touches. After a full day yesterday I finally knocked off at 8:45pm having used the hosepipe to water the mountain; yes an hosepipe being used in Yorkshire. :phew:

                  Kind regards, Colin.

                            Hi,

That's this morning sorted; shopping done painting done.

                            Rear extension_0004.JPG
We have a two roomed rear extension which are unused during our long winter months; last winter as usual it varied between wet and freezing but during our 34 years living here I've never had the weather attack the interior paintwork like this so during this rare warm period I've been doing lots of work the extension only part of it. Rear extension_0005.JPG
Condesation kept running down the glass into the putty joints hence the joints became damaged in spite of me clearing the condensation daily; it's pointless just painting over so I've raked the joints out as seen and made good. Rear extension_0008.JPG
Ready once again for our normal Yorkshire weather; I've been working up to twelve hours daily including weekends to try to get on top of jobs; retirement or punishment; I'm unsure which but it keeps me fit. Rear extension_0013.JPG
Just knocked off having now painted the frames and cill; what a terrible job it was with full sun glaring at me and the paint rapidly drying; another job ticked off once I've tidied and put the blinds back up.

Scorching hot weather or snowing home maintenance doesn't stop so this is just part of what I've been doing during this rare wonderful weather; pity I have to stop for meals when I could get so much more done. Passing a few minutes until dinner is ready.

                            Kind regards, Colin.

We used to get a lot of condensation on the windows then we had tripple glazing replacement windows, cured it completely.
It's still hot here with no breeze at all.
                                Temp 32c.
Tomorrow should be a bit better temp 25c
