Down in this corner I have June as extremely wet, July average, and August is turning out average as well.
      It's a bright start 12c.

Round here June and early part of July damp, a couple of really nice weeks and then August has been dull, fairly cool about 20°C and dry.

A tad cloudy looking out there at the moment. One of our sons and his girlfriend are down with us for the bank holiday....I am keeping my fingers crossed that he hasn't jinxed our forecast by only packing a selection of shorts in his case!! :fingers crossed:

Suppose to have a high of 22C :fingers crossed:

Even a small country like the UK can't really be lumped into one figure by working out an average it's ridiculous.
While I agree it's been pretty dismal and wet at times, there are others up in areas of Scotland saying it's been a good one.
Also it depends on what you normally get in your part of the country.
I prefer to look at those maps that show, by different colours , where it has been wetter or drier and warmer or cooler than normal.

Agree, we were discussing this yesterday regarding this years peat harvest. Mixed reports coming out of Ireland regarding quantity harvested but they say some of the bogs in Scotland, not being harvested, have been drying out causing cracks in the bog.
