It is still holding at -20c. @Selleri do I leave the jeans out there all day or?

But the sun is here

I'm guessing this is what's called freeze drying.

Lori, it has been 30 years since I last used the method and considering my lifestyle at the time, any details may be slightly on the vague side [IMG]

I think that as long as the garments are frozen through it'll work. In -20C it shouldn't take long...

Please do make some ice lanterns and post photos. They are so beautiful. :)

@Selleri they are frozen through so I'll bring them in now. But it is tempting to stand them up like a scare crow

Okay. Going downstairs to the kitchen to look for suitable containers to make the lanterns. Can't use any plant pots, they've all got holes in them! :heehee:

It is still - 19c out there. But the sun is brilliant. Good enough to go into the greenhouse and play with some of the wires. :blue thumb:

You are forgiven if you think we are enjoying a lovely bit of winter sunshine.....but sadly in reality we're not! In fact it's a lot more foggy than the pic truly depicts.

You can do the same thing with bowls and insert flowers/leaves for a salad or dessert/fruit bowl for entertaining.
