Two heavy splashes of rain and strong wind yesterday but this morning all is pretty good apart from the breeze; 11C at the moment and sunny.

Had a lovely day yesterday in the end, we have a bit more cloud around today. Still fairly breezy but its a warm breeze.

Peak Scottish Summer

 

The thing is, we didn't witness it. At first, when we came out and saw it, we thought someone had tipped it over. It wasn't until I saw the plastic top that held the canes down the other end of the garden, then saw the neighbour's roof ripped off, that we realised it was the wind. The pleasures of double glazing. The poor guys just finished the roof last week and gave me their leftover felt. I suppose I will have to give them it back!
Today is really windy again and a pyramid of Sweet peas blew over while we were in the garden.



I think the soil had dried out, despite being watered yesterday, so there was not a lot of weight low down.

 

It has been a cold grey day with a stiff breeze ... quite unpleasant

 

The morning was full of low clouds moving fast across the sun and it felt cool in the wind.
PM, the clouds melted away and apart from some thin high clouds it was mostly sunny and felt warmer.
I wasn't at home so not sure what the temperature was but probably low 20s.

 

Despite giving the pyramid a good watering I went out this evening to find it had blown over again. I will just leave it down until the wind drops.
