        32°C in the shade today, not a cloud in the sky. It's going to steadily climb to 40°C in the shade by next Sunday. No rain for at least a fortnight. When I think that we used to spend a fortune on holidays to places with a climate like that :thud: But then I wasn't trying to keep a garden alive......

                    We started the day with 23.5c with a forecast of 31c but I am sure we will go to at least 33c as we have the past few days. There may be a breeze today too but hopefully not a hot wind from Africa! Our high temperatures warning has been extended through Wednesday.

                          23C here at the moment; we've just returned from the surgery where my wife saw the nurse for a blood test; as my wife saw the nurse I popped into the pharmacy and bought a hot water bottle; the lady assistant and I enjoyed a good laugh; she said I must be the only person in the UK to buy an hot water bottle today; I replied saying next week we might need it after all we're in Yorkshire. Whilst there I remembered the old hot water bottle needed replacing; I'm just different.

                                I'm now banned from outside tis 29c, tis cooler inside at 24c so i'm inside all curtains and blinds are closed and i'm not coming out till 7pm when it's cooler :) then it's watering time
