3OC still here in our shady corner of the kitchen patio.

It was grey and windy, but warm and very pleasant. The sun is just starting to come out now.

 

About an hour ago we had a light dusting of rain

 

Hi,

When I saw your earlier post pete saying how nice it's been in Yorkshire over the weekend I thought give it a few days; it won't be long now before the usual floods hit us but this lovely hot weather is very exceptional for Yorkshire with a bit more yet to come.

I was over in Elland this morning and it started spotting with rain but blew over then this afternoon as I washed the car a little bit more rain but it's been overcast all day; having washed the car and dried it I decided to polish it this evening whilst it was overcast; typical of my luck I'd no sooner started than I was exposed to hot full sun so now I'm wet with sweat; the car goes in on Thursday for it's service and MOT so rather than wait until the last minute I thought I'd clean it today then the pigeons can use it as target practice all day tomorrow.

22C at the moment but I'm on meltdown not used to this at all.

I've gone mad and used the watering can this afternoon what's the world coming to.

Cloudy and grey all day but warm and humid, 24c.

 

English schools break up on Friday the 22nd July @pete. Here in Scotland they broke up on 23rd June.

 

The sun was back today but it's still breezy. The temperature is gradually dropping too, 21C/70F.

Hi,

I'm pleased I don't live in places like Hebden Bridge or much nearer home in Mirfield that are prone to severe flooding;



As usual once we get a few days of rare hot weather we suffer for it; next Monday is forecast 33C which is off our scale.

14C at the moment and partly sunny.
