WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2022

Over night minimum was 21c.
Cloudy.

 

Starting off today with 26c so an uncomfortable night. A light breeze came up a while ago and the sun is breaking through cloud. Going to 31c+.

 

It's 24c now and the patio is still very shaded.
My oh my, it's gonna be a hot one.....

Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze from the north west 23c
Earlier it was quite pleasant with the breeze.

 

We are at 32c with hazy sun but it is breezy/gusty so keeping it tolerable.

 

Muggy, 29C and housework.....not a good combination !!

 

Just looking at the met office website.
According to them we are down to a maximum of 22c on Saturday.
It then gives out a warning of extreme heat for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
28c and 29c.
Ahem, it's 30c today and we don't have a warning am I slowly noticing a row back on wild claims made a few days ago.

 

Dropped to an overnight low of 11°C. Today was a mix of sun and cloud, a stiff breeze and a max of 20°C. Still very pleasant though. Now it has started to rain.

 

Clouds have dispersed and now back to full sunshine and 30C.

 

There are some awful fires down here, a Shopping Mall at Quinta da Lago, Almancil and Quarteria. Our friends live there but they are okay. The wind is fanning the flames. The helicopters are taking water from the pools of mansions.

We can smell the smoke in the house!

Also there is a big fire next to Palmela Castle where we went on holiday for many years. We have contacted our friend there.

I can't believe our weather; the temperature is going ballistic;



A few years ago whilst erecting a garden hut in mid summer it only reached 10C with endless rain and wind apart from when I was peppered with hail; I'll never forget the water oozing out of the wood as I drove the screws in or the slimy slugs and other nasties; 35C must be an all time record for Yorkshire; I'm not complaining because floods are due on Wednesday; after all this rare heat we're in for a big bang.

18C here at the moment but it feels very hot indeed. It's only a few weeks ago I was wrapped up like an Eskimo felling trees in our back garden enjoying the freezing wind driven sleet.

28C , but every so often we get a cooling whisper of a breeze. Very pleassant, we're sitting out listening to some relaxing classical music. Perfect end to our day.

 

And I'm cooking a Chicken Marsala curry with spices from Kerala, India.....
