Hi,

I'm late today due to being busy buying building materials and having just collected from Wickes; computer monitor displays 19C but in the sun it feels a great deal higher than this.

As usual here in Yorkshire after a couple of days of decent weather we're in trouble with news of water shortages and not to brush our teeth in running water; this is a huge joke considering Yorkshire is submerged most of the year; we enjoy so much rain that our local water authority think they only need a pond.



We don't usually do light rain; both Monday & Tuesday now rated at 37C; it's nice not to be wrapped up like an Eskimo for a change. I've now got the building materials for building steps up our rear garden but I won't be working in full sun this afternoon; I'm definitely not used to it.

37°C / 17°C not a cloud in the sky. Bye-bye to the lawn On the bright side, we got a temporary pergola up over the new Magnolia seiboldii and the irrigation pump is soldiering on

 

It is 28c here with a light breeze.

 

I'm sitting here eating me nuts and there is a very strange battle going on. Out to the east it's clear blue sky and out to the west it's quite cloudy.

The clouds are trying to move east wards but are just fading away as they move east.
It's a bit odd really and been like that more than a couple of hours.
27c, and feeling cooler than of late in the shade.

 

Grey to start with but pleasant now.

 

It is sunny and hot, but not too hot to be pottering in the garden ...
