WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2022

Hi,

WOW @Victoria getting up so late for us would mean half the day was gone.

Monday & Friday I'm up at 6am to do the shopping the rest of the week including Sunday we're up about 7am having had a lay in. Both my wife and I are used to getting up early; 60 years ago aged 15 I used to be down the coal mine by 6am.

What is your wife's hobby?

We are only 26c but with no breeze so it feels stifling with 50% humidity. The cicadas arrived with us last week finally. In the early morning hours I heard the chorus of crickets?

 

It is 62f 20c and the rain has been continuous since about 2 a.m. . Free water. It doesn't get better!

 

Here also, I am usually up around 7 a.m. and sometimes earlier, 8 o'clock is late for me.

Same here and the traffic on the main road down the hill has eased off as well, it does feel strange ...


The thermometer I put in the shade this morning now reads 41 C but there is a slight breeze.

 

It's a mere 33c here, depending on which thermometer I use.

 

We didn't retire to work non stop. I guess in a hot country you tend to slow down and life is very laid back.

 

I've always hated being in bed though, I hate going there in the night and I get up as soon as I wake. I've always been like that.
I don't actually do anything after I get up, just take things easy, but being in bed gets on my nerves.

Having been bedbound for 18 months on my back, I got sort of used to it. I have my laptop and TV (for the news) as I am usually awake 6ish onwards. Hopefully this will change soon.

There is not much, if anything, to do in the garden, and I don't find it pleasant just sitting out in the heat for hours.

 

Put the thermometer in the shade 2 hours ago and now reads 32c and that is with a breeze. The hottest day here for at least 20 years.
