    Still 30c here, our high was 31c. There is a bit of a breeze but more noticeable in the tops of the trees, not ground level.

                      The forecast for yesterday was of 40C - we missed it by a hair! Talking about hair, I nearly tore what little I have left, out yesterday when I went out onto the balcony to check on my plants at 7.30pm. Due to the extremely hot wind we had all day yesterday my poor toms were almost burned to a crisp! My Fuchsias were in a terrible state as well!

                      The night was horribly hot even though we had a fan going all night & the bedroom window & door open. When we went to bed we still had 27C! It started to go down very slowly over the night but even so at 6am we still had 21C.

                      Today the temps have tumbled way down & our max was lower than when we went to bed at 11pm! The day has felt very humid with some light cloud cover which let the sun through from time to time. It has been hotter inside our flat today than outside on the balcony or it seemed that way.

                            @Jenny namaste they were back early this morning and the Blackbirds were making a nuisance of themselves by running in front of us all the time. I think they were chasing each other round the garden. Five watering bowls seems to keep all the birds busy although I've never seen any of our woodpeckers at the water.
