I was looking at some of the verges this morning, not sure no mow may was a good idea as most of them are now totally brown and just waiting for a stray cigarette end.

            Hi,

Just starting to drizzle but I've had enough hard work for one day; 21 years retired and still working as hard as ever; it's been a busy day.

New steps_0009.JPG These were the only type of building blocks available when I visited Wickes. A top flag into the garden and the sides to finish off; it's incredibly hard just standing upright in our gardens so doing this kind of work is real fun.

There's only one way I do a job. I've also just got a buyer for my heavy Union Graduate lathe so this will be next job disconnecting it from the supply and stripping it in order to make it light enough for two guy's on Weetabix to load it into a van. I've never time to be bored.

This very rare hot dry weather slowed me down a bit but the temperature dropped quite a bit today; at the moment it's 16C and quite dark and gloomy; I'm still dreaming of violin practice.

            Kind regards, Colin.

I've just closed some windows, for the first time in a couple of weeks its feeling a bit chilly
Really grey out there now, luckily not much wind other wise it would be very cool.

Thermometer says 23c but it feels closer to 18c.

A lovely summer's day here. Blue sky, a gentle breeze and pleasantly warm. We Scots are easily pleased weather-wise.

Sunny until early afternoon, the rest of the day under cloud and windless. Humidity is still quite high too in the upper 80's. 20C/68F

The humidity here is never much above 50%.

They forecast a slight chance of rain about now but there's no sign of any ( once again ) and the sun is trying it's hardest to break through.

                                Hi,

                                upload_2022-7-22_8-10-0.png

This is more like the Yorkshire I love; a couple of days ago the temperature was ballistic at 38C but 17C is still hot for us so no complaints; rain and a black hole doesn't bother me but it's eerie not having wind trying to remove my cap.

                                Kind regards, Colin.
