I hope it's nothing serious @Retired. I used to run a 1970s classic as our main family car and got similar problems with the air con in extremely hot weather. It was as if the whole cooling matrix froze solid and it used to drip cold water on our feet.

You could switch the air con off temporarily until you get it checked.

Seems to be hotter than 29c showing on my weather app as it's dead calm now.

        Hi,

Many thanks John. Yes the Yeti runs perfectly with the air con switched off I've just been for a run out to test it.

How typical of my luck though living in Yorkshire where I've seen days in mid summer struggle to reach 10C and hail in August never having to use the air con all year; now we have a rare heat wave and the air con would be welcome it packs up; I could scream. I've just browsed eBay for air con compressors to fit our Yeti and they aren't cheap but I'd never buy such a unit from eBay; I'm still awaiting a call back from the main dealer; they can collect the car and return it whatever the repair costs; I stopped trying to save money years ago because with my luck it always costs more long term; these days I can't be bothered messing around with car repairs. I'm still dreaming of spending time in my music studio but every time I think I've caught up something else prevents me.

Replacement post and hadrail. Just paint needed to complete both.

This moring I thought at last I'm caught up just some painting to do so now exactly on time the car plays up. I can never do what I want to do and I've been retired 21 years. Forever complaining and forever grafting with no let up. Sorry for constantly moaning I want some peace. GRRRRRRRR

It's a real scorcher today with more days of the same yet to come.

        Kind regards, Colin.

I said to hubs about half an hour ago that it suddenly felt warmer but he said 'no it's reached it's high by now'. Hmm I was right it's 32C now with very little breeze so quite stifling.

Despite the strong westerly wind the temperature managed to climb up to 28°C by mid-afternoon. Even now there is not a cloud in the sky. Interesting to see how cold it gets overnight.

We may have got to 24c today but didn't look later. It was lovely with a breeze, my kind of weather. This is a little low for us in August but not complaining.

Its only 22c here now, the temperatures are dropping quite quickly in the evenings, no real humidity.

Glorious week so far Sunny tempertures around 27'C but not to warm well not for me others disagree, it must be getting a tad chilly at night with the heavy dew in the morning, Its seems more humid to me this time round . No Amber heat warning here.
