At long last the temps are starting to fall from 32C on Sat & 33C on Sunday we have fallen to 30C today! Still tomorrow they are expected to fall quite a bit more.

The promised thunderstorms avoid this area like the plague! It's quite rare to get one - in fact the promise of 1 or 2 today didn't hold up! We'll see about tomorrow or Wednesday if we are lucky! But I reckon even if we were in a RED warning zone they would still pass us by!

A grey but calm day here, with heavy rain expected tonight. Humidity is still very high but the temperature has dropped. 17C/63F

Sorry to hear that @Perki it can be very painful, I had it once. I hope you can get something to relieve it.
A few weeks ago I had a letter from my GP telling me I could have an injection against it because I am now over 70 (old age does have some advantages :heehee: although I would rather not be old ...)

Mild, cloudy and a few spicks and specks of rain, not enough to wet much, but with the cooler temperatures will reduce the watering required.

19c with grey skies. It looked damp outside first thing, more a mist than rain. We might get rain late afternoon, hooray!

                              Hi,

Excellent suggestion @pete I'm sick of the BBC weather forecasters getting it totally wrong as they've done over the last week again whilst forecasting thunderstorms which still haven't arrived; I'm deleting the quick link to their site and will give @Jocko's Met office a chanch they can't be worse.

Thanks @Jocko I'll switch to Met Office forecasts and perhaps then I can stop moaning about the BBC; there's something wrong with our TV as well when we switch on for BBC1 news only mostly to get BBC Sport. GRRRRR Total rip off with licence fee. We rely on YouTube for TV viewing being YouTube Premium subscribers hence no adverts.

A good start today at 2:50 this morning awoken by a flashing digital clock; must have been a power cut in the night?

                              Kind regards, Colin
