          We had three successive lighting and thunderstorms and four powercuts. Lightning hit a tree down the road and blasted off some very large branches. The commuters on the way to the station (two miles down the road) got together in the pouring rain and shifted the branches into the ditch. I didn't offer to help :whistle:.

          The rain stopped just after lunch and there was 4.5" of water in the wheelbarrow. I've just had to hose clean (no hosepipe ban here) the patio where the gutters overflowed and I had a 60' strip of patio to clean. :phew:

          Sun has been out for the last hour but it looks as though it might rain again. :thumbsup:

            Sky has cleared to some extent but still a lot of thin high clouds around.
