But unfortunately our morning coffee is being had indoors as all the garden seats are soaking wet and I don't fancy a wet b**. Sad though I must dry them off before our 11am cup of tea..:blue thumb:

It is sunny and 64f 16c. The guessers say it will be going up to the mid 70's which will be very pleasant.

Just after midnight I was awoken by the sound of strong wind & heavy rain as well as a few distant thunderclaps! When I first woke up I was very disorientated & didn't know what was going on! After a couple of minutes I realized it was the wind & heavy rain that I was hearing! A couple of minutes later I heard the thunder but didn't see any lightening which made me think it was some way away. After 5 minutes listening I got out of bed & looked out of the window, though there is a street light almost outside I couldn't see very much but I thought I could see the rain bouncing up off the road & forming a bit of a mist. So I went back to bed. There must have been a brief lull in the falling rain as before I drifted off to sleep once more I thought I heard the storm as strong as when it woke me up.

When I got up at 6.30 I looked out the window & the dried grass looked as if it been in soak all night. In a day or two the dry grass will be luscious grass once again looking as if it had never dried up at all!

When I went out to check on my plants on the balcony I saw that all the saucers under the pots were overflowing with rainwater!!! Later I emptied them all & left the pots to drain for the rest of the day.

But the pots in rings on the balcony railings had already drained themselves as had the hanging baskets which were so heavy with water I'm sure the chains can hardly resist them!

                        No more watering this week!!!

Sunny intervals and a few light showers, i don't know if i said but we had another thunderstorm last night.
This afternoon checked the ground and it only soaked in about 2inch the rest was still dry.

Surprisingly we reached 30c but had gusty wind making it feel more tolerable. We are only 25c now with the gusty breeze still.
