            Despite yesterday's predicted forecast we actually had a lovely sunny day in the end, infact it felt hot in the sun in the afternoon.Today is looking pretty good too.:biggrin:

              It was 7C when I went shopping at 5.30 this morning and the wind was not friendly. Although our weather forecast yesterday said it was raining all day we just had sunshine.

                    It seems our predicted heavy rain for today is lurking in the channel and across Northern France.
                    Let's hope it stays there.

                    I put the heating on for the first time last night. Been making do with a fan heater up till now in the evenings.
                    Just wondering if that is actually a false economy, because I'm burning electricity and still not feeling comfortable.

                              It is now up to 50f 9c and probably won't go much higher. We are now having "frost warning" nights. Somebody flipped the switch and turned the heat off!

                              And in case anyone is wondering, the hurricane is not approaching anywhere near me. I am about a thousand miles from the coast.
