11c had a steady shower of rain for the last hour noe brighting up

 

Well ! I am getting ready to go out and have to wear long trousers, a jumper, and warm coat. It seems a bit early to dress like that, but this year September feels more like October

 

Pouring hard and freezing cold.
It dont get much better than this.


Well for the next 6 months at least.

 

I've just got back from meeting a friend in town......despite our forecast not predicting rain ..... boy oh boy did we have a downpour!!! It was torrential !!! , fortunately we were safely tucking into coffee and danish pastries( ) in the cafe but the sound was quite thunderous as it hit it's glass roofed veranda . Just started up again now, hmm might have to rethink my afternoon in the garden tasks.

Just looked at the thermometer, then had to look again 12c.
Is it really still September.

 

Got to the predicted 25c, now 22,5c, blue skies but that strong breeze is still with us.

 

A mix of sunshine then a shower. On the breezy side -15c...
a westerly direction and the barometer is dropping.
Feels really cold this evening and I have switched the fire on....

The day started off with some lovely sunshine & hardly any cloud. Unfortunately that didn't last long as by 8am it was already clouding over. The wind was stronger than it had been for some days, it was also very cold!

I was out on the balcony for perhaps 30 mins when the wind got up stronger & then it started to rain. The strong wind was pushing it into the balcony & I beat a hasty retreat back indoors! Fortunately I was just finishing when it started so it didn't interfere with the time I was outside.

For the next few days this cold weather is forecast to continue but we might get some more rain on Saturday. No more than 12C on thermometer but it felt a lot colder with the wind & rain shower. Heating on nearly half the day but fortunately we were able to turn it off later in the afternoon. Only forecast a min of 6-7C for tonight! Is it really the last week in September or the first in February???

 

Rain showers all day with the occasional glimpse of sunshine, 10C/50F.

The Cairngorms, approximately 30 miles south of where I am, have had snow this last week. With 3C/37F expected overnight tomorrow we'll probably see some on the high ground here.
